Life is full of diverse opportunities, I am not saying this to motivate or to write based on spoken words, but the quote is the exact expression of what I am experiencing. I must say that the Coding4Employment program by AfDB is a great opportunity I am glad I grabbed. The Program went from being an interesting on to a very impactful and eye-opening sessions. The zeal to learn anything design and web development ate me up for a long time and then the Coding4Employment Program served as a driving force that blew me out of my dream world into reality. Since inception of this program I have mixed mind and brain with spirit minded people like myself in creating a change to the society and our world at large. On the 24th of November I came across the word XAMPP for the very first time. Xampp is a local server that you can install on your laptop/desktop to mimic an actual web server. It’s a completely free, open source Apache server distribution with MySQL and PHP. It is available for all major operating systems, and is extremely easy to install and use. The XAMPP & WordPress combination is greatly used for website development. While XAMPP provides the local server environment, the WordPress is a web development platform. I presently have a site that I am working on. Also, phpMyAdmin is one of the most popular tools written in PHP which allows you to handle the administration of MySQL over the Web. You can use phpMyAdmin to create, insert, select and delete databases. The classes are coming along well and the facilitators are doing a great job. Someone said to me, “try not to forget what you are being taught” I replied the person saying when my facilitators speak, I hear words but these words digest I me as experience” meaning words might fade or lost accuracy in the long run, but the experiences remains in the mind, the heart and the soul forever. I therefore use this medium to say a big thank you to all my facilitators.
